We were one length away from cashing in on both tickets and nailing the pick 6. This game just continues to humble and we just have to get ourselves back up and focused on this Sunday card at Aqueduct. We will remain focused on the pick 6 sequence by playing a pair of pick 3 plays. I will be covering races 4-6 and Big Pete will focus on races 7-9. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race that we would like to try and improve our bankroll a bit. If there are any suggestions on how you may want this blog formatted please do not hesitate to reach out. We can be reached by Twitter, @PetesPicks1, or email, PetesPicksBlog@gmail.com. GOOD LUCK.

Race 1:
If it hasn't come off yet in previous blogs I am always attentive to Lezcano on firsters. This race is no different as I do not think that the favorites are head and shoulders above this field. I like the Pletcher horse in here to play with (2) Mo Desserts and think we may be able to catch a pretty good exacta.
$5.00 WPS 2 Cost: $15.00
$3.00 Ex 2,3 w/ 1,2,3,4 Cost: $18.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
I will take a shot here with the once classy (1) FAIR REGIS. She would destroy this group a year or two ago and I like what she did next out off the Englehart claim. Ran 4th in the slop but never gave up. She should have targets in front of her to come and get late. The post will help to save some ground as well.
$ 7.00 WPS 1 Cost $ 21.00
We’ll use her with the two speeds/favorites for our exacta.
(3) Blitchton Lady and (4) Awesome Alana
$ 3.00 Exacta Box 1, 3, 4 Cost $ 18.00
We’ll also use Fair Regis in R3 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.
(6) Fun Finder and (7) Love Me Tomorrow look solid in the 4th
$ 7.00 Double 1 w/ 6, 7 Cost $ 14.00
Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 4:
Like most of the other betting public I like the entries in here. I particularly like (1A) Secret Zar to sit off the pace of (7) Love Me Tomorrow and run on with this one late. I will also be including the horse I think will be setting the pace in (7) Love Me Tomorrow because there have been times when jockeys allow the lead horse to set favorable fractions which gives the lead horse a head start come stretch drive. My last play will be the second choice on the morning line in (6) Fun Finder who I think will be stalking the early pace and have a say come late.
$7.00 WPS 1 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex 1,6,7 Cost: $18.00
Race 5:
(7) Coffee Bar looks to be a tough beat in here from the Pletcher barn and with the leading jockey aboard. I think this horse just may be a bit too much for this field and a must play for me. If she does not run away with this one, then I like (1) Pop the Bubbly to benefit from the post position and be able to find a rail position early and save ground throughout. This could mean a fresh horse come stretch drive and Lezcano is hungry for wins. (2) Caumsett is a horse that I think will be forwardly placed in here and be able to handle the surface switch. I like the post position and a horse that is aggressive early is easier for me to include in my play. (5) Stormi Cat Lady is my lastplay who I think will be a bit of a price come post time and has shown some ability at this distance already. I think that we should expect some improvement from this horse
$4.00 WPS 7 Cost: $12.00
$2.00 Ex 5,7 w/ 1,2,5,7 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 1,2 w/ 1,2,5,7 Cost: $6.00
Race 6:
How do you not take the entries in here?.. It will be tough for this field to overcome this trio and a must play, especially with (1X) Miss Loyalty associated who is my top pick in here. Just for some insurance here I will take (2) Movie Score who gets the rail post position in here and has shown some late closing ability. I think this horse will be ready to roll come stretch drive and have enough in the tank late to make some noise. My last play will be (5) Sister Patricia who is coming in after a 4 month layoff and has been training very well leading into this one. I think that this horse should be able to sustain a big run in here.
$3.00 WPS 2 Cost: $9.00
$3.00 Ex 2,5 w/ 1,2,5 Cost: $12.00
$3.00 Ex 1 w/ 2,5 Cost: $6.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
(4) DESTINATIONWNRSCIR got in gear through the stretch last time easily passing Shesadirtydancer who jogged yesterday. This Lemon Drop Kid wants more ground and she gets it today. Worth a big bet if we get the 9:2 ML. (8) PAY GRADE ships north to face fellow NY Bred fillies. This Tonalist will likely go off the favorite as she’s bred top and bottom to be a good one for Clement. I see a lot of grass in her though but yet they leave Florida for this. (2) FLOWER’S FORTUNE ran a good 2nd two back before facing an Uncle Mo monster. She has the advantage here as possible loan speed. Should be able to run all day being an Effinex. (6) EPONA’S DREAM may not be a win candidate, but if she takes to the dirt, can sneak into the exacta at big odds.
$7.00 WPS 4 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex 4,8 w/ 2,4,6,8 Cost: $18.00
Race 8:
(4) BLUE GATOR has done everything right so far. Was a clear 2nd to Eagle Orb and the 6.5F only helps. With little speed signed on, it may be over when they come into the stretch. (5) WINDY NATIONS improved last time for Maker. He’ll need help up front to set him up. Franco bails for the Pletcher runner (8) PERFECT MUNNINGS who tries dirt today. He bred to like it so we’ll trust the connections to have him ready. (3) UNO is an other Pletcher that most will be interested in. Won his debut rather easy but faces winners for the first time. A must use none the less.
$7.00 WPS 4 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex 4,5 w/ 3,4,5,8 Cost: $18.00
Race 9:
The only thing that seems certain to me is that the four runners w/ double digit ML odds have no chance at crossing the finish line first. So I’m left with the other four to close out this Pk3. Both favorites, (1) BASTET and (5) WISHES AND DREAMS are dropping again and their trainers have yet to win one here. They can win but we’re supposed to bet against. I’ll lean on (3) WOMEN NOT EASY as Rudy wins a lot of races this time of year. She will likely go and try to bottom out these. (8) LUCKY LINDSEY woke up last time against this level and Franco sticks around for the night cap. Took a lot of money last time and ran like she was live. Watch the board if she gets hammered again.
