Nine races scheduled for Mother's Day at Belmont at the Big A. I will be condensing my plays down to just the numbers and attacking the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 4-6). Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 7-9). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.
Little Pete's $ 5.00 Early Double:
R1: 1, 3
R2: 2, 6 Cost: $ 20.00
Little Pete's $ 1.00 Spot Pick 3:
R4: 1, 2
R5: 2, 5
R6: 2, 3, 8 Cost: $ 12.00
Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:
R7: 1, 5, 7
R8: 1, 6, 9
R9: 5, 7, 9, 10, 12 Cost: $ 45.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
State breds square off on this one turn Mile. Falcone brings back (3) KING FARRO off an impressive debut against a tough bunch back in October. They add L1 and Santana to sweeten the pot. They should save ground and make his run late. The bullet gate work in April suggest he's ready to roll.
I’ll use (6) Judge Boushay and (7) Tricky Business underneath for the exacta.
$ 7.00 WPS 3 Cost $ 21.00
$ 7.00 Ex 3 w/ 6, 7 Cost $ 14.00
We’ll also use (3) King Farro in R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.
(1) River Ride and (2) Chartist in the 4th.
$ 7.00 Daily Double 3 w/ 1, 2 Cost $ 14.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
Cox and Brown are well represented here. (1) BOLD STRENGTH will break from the rail and try to establish his position up front. If Manny can control the pace, he'll be tough. (5) I'M READY TO GO may be the horse to beat after posting a solid 2nd in March off a year long absence. Steady works and Prat taking the call makes this Liam's Map a must use. I'll take a stab with the Uncle Mo colt (7) SANONE. He's shown some improvement each time out as a maiden but didn't handle winners first time out. He picks up Johnny V today and has back to back strong workouts for this.
$ 7.00 WPS 7 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex Box 1, 5, 7 Cost $ 18.00
Race 8:
(6) STICKUPWITHOUTAGUN came out running in his 2026 debut posting the highest speed figure of this bunch. I'm looking for the same as they stretch out to a Mile. (9) MAD BANKER picks up Manny and cuts back to one turn. He has some figures in his pp's that match up well to this group. They likely stalk and come running late. I'll try the Solomini gelding (1) SENEGAL. He's also cutting back and retains Santana who is riding well. They should save some ground and make a run turning for home.
$ 7.00 WPS 1 Cost $ 21.00
$ 5.00 Ex 1, 6 w/ 1, 6, 9 Cost $ 20.00
Race 9:
We'll spread out in this finale as it looks wide open to me. (12) LACHAISE, (10) JUST FOR LUCK and (7) TIM AND SAM are very close in talent. I'll two of them on top but all three seem logical. The other two, (5) A LITTLE AT FIRST and (9) JACK'S WORLD are coming off maiden wins an face winners. That's always tough but either would be no surprise if the come right back with the win.
