The first Saturday of this Saratoga meet and we have 12 scheduled to go. The Diana is the main attraction. I will be condensing my plays down to just the number and attacking the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 6-8). Big Pete will attack two "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 10-12); GOOD LUCK.

Race 3:
(4) FEVER NIGHT was claim at Churchill and brought to NY for Rice. That move has worked well the last couple of years and she puts her go to guy up. There is plenty of speed signed on and the cutback to 7F for this Curlin will enhance his late kick.

Race 5:
(5) RESILIENCE is battle tested as he danced with the big boys last year until the Belmont took him out of commission. He's back with a solid effort at the Belmont Festival and Mott. The grass was interesting but playing in the mud should be his thing too. Johnny V has been his guy so he returns for the ride.

Race 10:
(8) RUNNINSONOFAGUN has several races that make him a player. He shows up every so often and I'm hoping today is one of those days. (7) ILLUMINARE is where I landed. He was rolling along last year and then something happen in December. He's back and has speed to control or stalk. (2) TWENTY FOUR MAMBA was cruising with back to back wins when he stumbled last time and it cost him. A clean break today and he's a player. (3) LITTLE NI makes his 2025 debut for Casse who is clicking right now. He was facing better in his last three.

Race 11:
(1) SHE FEELS PRETTY will be odds on and is a must use. She just made it with a yielding course last time and with a similar turf today, I'll include others just incase. Both of Brown's runners figure to improve so (4) EXCELLENT TRUTH AND (5) DYNAMIC PRICING make the ticket.

Race 12:
(4) SHE WANTS WAR, (6) GIRLS ROCK and (9) GELLHORN in no particular order close out this pick 3 in this off the turf sprint. Gellhorn comes out of a slop track race and ran well late. She has the edge with a race under her belt.
