Fast and firm to start this Friday card from the Spa. I will be condensing my plays down to just the number and attacking the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 5-7). Big Pete will attack two "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 8-10); GOOD LUCK.

R1: 5, 6
R2: 1, 6 Cost: $ 20.00
Little Pete's $ 1.00 Spot Pick 3:
R5: 3, 6, 7
R6: 3, 4, 6
R7: 1, 4, 6, 10 Cost: $ 36.00
Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:
R8: 3, 4, 6
R9: 1, 2, 5, 6
R10: 2, 3, 4 Cost: $ 36.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 4:
Most in here will struggle to get this 1 lap around the Saratoga oval. Irad will try to steal it with Who's The King on the drop, and True Connections will likely force the issue. That's why I landed on (6) I'M SOLO N IN LOVE. He switches barns and adds Prat for his 2nd time at this distance and at the Spa this year. He was too far back last time but managed to get up for 2nd. Prat gets away nicely and will keep him within range of the leaders turning for home.
$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost: $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex Box 4, 5, 6 Cost: $ 18.00
We'll use (6) I'm Solo N In Love in R4 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.
(3) Parade Ring or (7) Silver Pearls in the 5th.
$ 7.00 Daily Double 6 w/ 3, 7 Cost $ 14.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 8:
(3) SHEER WILL and (4) CARA'S CHIANTI both drop and have speed figures that stack up well with this group. I'll use both, but the other significant dropper is from Cox. (6) DARTY TIME showed speed in the slop at Churchill before throwing in the towel. They ship in and drop her and cut her back to 6F. That looks like the winning move as Prat picks up the mount.
$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost: $ 21.00
$ 5.00 Ex 6 w/ 3, 4 Cost: $ 10.00
Race 9:
(1) MACHO MUSIC is fast, and with the presence of Irad and the slight cutback, this colt looks live. The rail is the only eyesore as he'll have to press early to avoid the shuffle. His neighbor, (2) GARAMOND, will try to pin him to the rail and try to beat him to the punch. If either can clear the other, they have the advantage. If not, that sets up the outside runners for a fast finish. I use the Pletcher runner (5) GATE TO WIRE. He figures to get a nice setup, and they cut him back sharply after several long attempts. I think sprinting is his thing, and he has already beaten some of the contenders here. The other stalker is (6) GUNMETAL, and that's who I want. He was beaten by Gate To Wire when they met, but that was off his maiden win, and he didn't get away cleanly. This time he breaks outside his rivals, and Saez can dictate what happens after the start. He can go, stalk, or settle in the back.
$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost: $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 5, 6 w/ 1, 2, 5, 6 Cost: $ 18.00
Race 10:
(4) PROFESSOR GRACE tried grass last time and liked it. Not surprising this Catholic Boy took to it. She drops for this and appears live to me. (2) DIVIDEND RECAP also drops and draws inside to save ground. If Rosario can weave his way through, he'll be dangerous late. (3) CATHOLIC EDITION, another Catholic Boy, was closing well in his debut, and the winner of that race returned to post another win next out. May be a live race there.
