Another eight scheduled (5 turf, 3 dirt) for this Sunday at Belmont At The Big A. I will be condensing my plays down to just the numbers and attacking the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 3-5). Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 6-8). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.
Little Pete's $ 10.00 Early Double:
R1: 1, 6
R2: 2, 4 Cost: $ 20.00
Little Pete's $ 1.00 Spot Pick 3:
R3: 1, 3, 7
R4: 4, 5, 7
R5: 3, 4, 6 Cost: $ 27.00
Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:
R6: 3, 4, 5
R7: 1, 3, 6
R8: 1, 2, 5, 6 Cost: $ 36.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
(1) LANGUID and Dutrow entice Johnny V to come in early on this Sunday to guide this gelding around the Aqueduct turf. They draw the cozy rail, so they figure to save ground right behind unless no one goes. In that case, they may find themselves on the lead. Either way, this guy woke up on the surface switch last time, and the extra distance shouldn't be a problem.
I’ll use (3) Fateful Lightning and (7) Up For An Oscar underneath for the exacta.
$ 7.00 WPS 1 Cost $ 21.00
$ 7.00 Ex 1 w/ 3, 7 Cost $ 14.00
We’ll also use (1) Languid in R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.
(5) Shadyside and (7) Malu in the 4th.
$ 7.00 Daily Double 1 w/ 5, 7 Cost $ 14.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 6:
(4) BIG FROST didn't run a lick for Pletcher the first time out. They add L1, which helps explain that. The drop is expected, but this isn't the strongest move for this outfit. We'll use him but try to beat him. (3) DREAMS OF ROME is trying the turf and has the speed to be the front runner. Santana jumps on, and he's been making all the right decisions. I'll try the first-time starter (5) MANOR PARK who comes in with the hot barn and finds a suspect field to start his career. Manny has some winners for this outfit.
$ 7.00 WPS 5 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex Box 3, 4, 5 Cost $ 18.00
Race 7:
(3) THE OBLITERATOR is a little overrated, but they put him where he belongs today and they entice Prat to ride. That makes him shorter in price than he should be, but Prat makes horses a few lengths better, and that's all this runner needs against this group. (1) CALLING CARD woke up when he met this level last time, and I'm expecting the same here. (6) THIRTEEN G'S is my wise guy pick here. Rice claimed this guy a few races ago and brought him back in February. Those two races were terrible, and he clearly wasn't ready. More time off, and he returned to show signs of coming around. It usually doesn't take this barn long to get to the bottom of runners, but they eventually get there. Today we may see a new colt get on track.
$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 3, 6 w/ 1, 3, 6, 9 Cost $ 18.00
Race 8:
(1) GARDEN OF GRACE has a few races that put her in the winner's circle. She also has Prat, who does that to several horses too. Moving back to the turf where Weaver started her career. (5) SAINT MARGARET is one of the speeds that can shake loose. Another speed is (2) CHARLOTTESUNIVERSE, who drops from a stakes race for this. Both can be a thorn in each other's side unless one of them misses the break. I'll use both in case that happens. I want to take a shot with the 12:1 ML filly (6) NO NEED TO PANIC. They bring her back after a 6-month break and she is working well for her 2026 debut. She clearly wants turf and they add L1 and Jose. She can sit right behind the speeds and close in late.
