Fast and Firm at Belmont at the Big A on this Friday card with 9 races to tackle. I will be condensing my plays down to just the number and attacking the early double starting in R2 (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 4-6). Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 7-9). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

R2: 6, 9 Cost: $ 20.00
Little Pete's $ 1.00 Spot Pick 3:

R5: 4, 7, 8
R6: All Cost: $ 36.00
Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:
R7: 3, 4, 8
R8: 3, 4
R9: 1, 3, 5, 10 Cost: $ 24.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
I'm hoping the track plays fair today as it's been kind to speed lately. My choice, (2) GIROOVIN, has no speed but likes to come late. He dropped last time and was a good 4th only beaten 2 lengths. That was his first time out this year. He most likely needed that one and picks up the hot rider, Santana. What's interesting is that Santana rode two others in here last time and he chose Falcone's runner instead. There's enough speed to set him up if the track let's him.
I’ll use (7) Squire Creek and (8) Secret Rules in the exacta.
$ 7.00 WPS 2 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex Box 2, 7, 8 Cost $ 18.00
We’ll also use (2) Giroovin in R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.
(4) Makeyourmoment or (7) Cattani in the 4th.
$ 7.00 Daily Double 2 w/ 4, 7 Cost $ 14.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
(8) ENFUEGA has been sprinting and now they stretch her out. Still a one turn and breaks in the clear outside all of them. They gave her some time off and may have tweeked a few things as her morning drills have been sharp. (4) NOLITA is the one to catch. Prat just missed with her last time and goes long again. I just wish Mott was off the goose egg. (3) FIVE TO TWO added blinkers last time fresh off the claim and ran just ok. More time in this barn may do the trick as they are hitting the board at 50%.
$ 7.00 WPS 8 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex Box 3, 4, 8 Cost $ 18.00
Race 8:
(3) DAKOTA GOLD hasn't been this far but he's built for it. Lemon Drop Kid underneath can provide the extra furlong. He has a nice closing kick so look for him to pick them up late with Davis staying up. I'm only intersted in one more and that is (4) HUSH OF A STORM as Helena wrecks havoc down south. He's been facing open company and racing on synthetic this year. He toyed with NY Breds at the Spa and Cox reached in to grab him. Prat climbs aboard again and 9F is no problem for any Creative Cause offspring. We'll try to get by with just these two.
$ 7.00 WPS 4 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex Box 3, 4, 7 Cost $ 18.00
Race 9:
Both (1) ON A SUMMER DAY and (10) SOUL SECRET drop in for a tag and pick up Rosario and Prat. Both look well meant for this and will take some money. The horse to beat is (3) LOTUS PETAL. She picks up Irad and hit the board at the Spa after some traffic along the way. Clear sailing makes her tough in here. I'll take a shot with (5) MEZCALIFORNIA. She exits a couple of key races were runners are returning to win, but that was on dirt. Yesterday, Gerlins Empire, joined that group with a win at Churchill. They tried grass last time and something went wrong as she bombed as the favorite. McPeek can right the ship and Carmouche is on fire this meet. He's worth the 12:1ML offering.
