Nine races at Belmont at the Big A. Two come off the turf and two stay on. I will be condensing my plays down to just the numbers and attacking the early double starting in R2 (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 4-6). Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 7-9). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
Brzina took a lot of money off the claim and missed by a nose. Now Ness has her, and it looks like more of the same. If she can shake loose, she'll be tough. There are other speeds, so I'll try to catch her with (3) IRISH JACKSON. She was closing in against slightly better last time and checked. Her race prior was against cheaper but did it easily. Manny returns, so all systems go.
I’ll use (2) Brzina and (7) Killy Start underneath for the exacta.

We’ll also use (3) Irish Jackson in R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
(7) RACING COLORS was not too far from Brown Suga last time, so the scratch made her job a little easier today. She may show more speed today with only five runners in here. I'll lean on (3) MOMMASGOTTAGUN here as she was moving okay in that same race, and that was her first attempt against this level. With that under her belt, she can certainly move forward today. (5) VALTELLINA won NW1X last time and moves up slightly. The horse who finished 2nd that day returned this week to score, so she can probably handle this.

Race 8:
(1) POOKIE adds L1 and drops a little. If she's ready for her 2025 debut, she wins. (4) A.P. KID ships in for Pletcher after beating up maidens. That was a big effort when trying grass for the first time. He can be a good one with that breeding and win the first time against winners. (3) HANDS OF TIME is the speed. Davis and Clement team up, and they will try to steal it. (8) ON THE MOUNT is from Brown, and most times that's enough.

Race 9:
(11) STIRRED UP gets to race today as this one comes off the turf. Rice/Lezcano and a watered-down field. All systems go. Ward brings in (2) DANGHERECOMESSHANG and she has speed. They have to catch her. (3) SILVER PEARLS is the one I want. She will stalk and come running late. The drop in class should help as well.
